Due to the many complexities with Staring Lane and the issues related to the existing sanitary sewer lines and new lines that are needed, the Design Study is nearing completion, not final plans. The Design Study is at about 30% of the total design effort. After several project meetings at the end of last week and beginning of this week, there is still work to do. Several underground utilities need to be located that play an important role in the location of new utilities and roadway drainage.

We have briefed the Mayor on the progress and he and his staff are comfortable with the design. Direction from the Mayor is to proceed with a public forum as soon as plans are ready. We are anticipating this forum to take place in the later part of January. We will make sure that the local neighborhood associations are notified well in advance of the forum. Plans will be viewable at that time.
